What is PRP ?

PRP is a natural, autologous treatment that involves injecting plasma (the liquid part of blood) with platelet growth factors. This product is obtained by centrifuging the patient’s blood.
The aim of the treatment is tissue regeneration.

Indications of PRP injections

PRP stimulates tissue regeneration and the differentiation and proliferation of stem cells.
The aesthetic indications are:
Skin rejuvenation (skin restore and skin prevent) : improvement of wrinkles, skin texture and density,
Alopecia : stimulation of hair follicles and hair growth.
Contraindications include pregnancy and breastfeeding, autoimmune and blood diseases.

PRP procedure

The blood sample is taken in a special tube which is placed in a centrifuge.
The PRP is then extracted. Multiple injections are made into the dermis using a mesotherapy gun. The session is painless.
The initial treatment involves three sessions, one month apart. Maintenance treatment involves two sessions per year.

Results and side-effects

The after-effects are slight. There is no risk of disease transmission, as the product is autologous (taken from and injected into the same patient).
Haematomas are rare and transitory.
For the skin, the radiance boost is visible from the very next day: the skin is softer and smoother. Results in terms of skin rejuvenation are visible three to six months after the session.
As the hair cycle is fairly long, results are visible three months after the session and are optimal six months later.
